How we write these guides

What these guides are for
Arkalife's guides explain what is printed on a lab report: what each value measures, how it was arrived at, and why the same test can carry a different reference range at a different laboratory.
What they never do
They do not tell you what your result means for you, what it should be, or what to do about it. That is a conversation with a doctor, and no amount of careful writing makes a web page a substitute for one. Arkalife is a record-keeping tool: it shows values, the lab's own ranges, and trends over time — nothing more.
How they are made
Each guide is drafted with AI assistance, then checked by a person, line by line, against the sources listed at the bottom of the article, before it is published. The sources are primary references — public health services and national libraries of medicine. Each article lists the references consulted while writing and checking it.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we want to know and we will fix it. Write to hello@arkalife.ai and quote the guide. Articles carry the month they were last reviewed.
